Volunteer and members get stuck into a clay session

Marlborough Group

We meet every Monday morning in a quiet self-contained community room in the town of Marlborough. We arrive by taxi and start the session with coffee and biscuits, and then lunch after the arts workshop.

The things we do are very varied. Recently we have made a sculpture together of a tree with messages on the leaves. Previously we wrote a short play, designed and made puppets, scenery and a theatre, and then performed to a small invited audience.

It's a very friendly and supportive group and its nice to be away from home and meeting new people. The artists expect us to be willing to try new things and be a bit daring, but then offer lots of help and encourgement, as do our volunteer helpers.

If you are interesting in joining our group click here, or call Karolyne on 01380 831434. We only have 12 members at a time, but if full you can join our waiting list.
