A Kaleidoscope of Butterflies

Let’s add some colour into our lives by creating a Kaleidoscope of Butterflies! Print the template and instructions here

YOU COULD USE

• Paints, collage papers or colouring materials
• Scissors, glue, ribbon or string

ACTIVITY

Draw/paint your own butterfly or use the template sheets on the next page. Add your colours with pencils, pens or paints. Collage works great too and you could find some great patterns to tear out of old magazines, letters or junk mail. You can cut your butterflies out and add to a floral background to make them appear as if they are flying!

You don’t have to do any cutting at all and simply enjoy adding colour to your butterflies on the one sheet. Will your butterflies be spotty, stripey, what colour will you choose? Delicate pastels or bold and bright jazzy colours?

If you’re feeling adventurous you could cut them out and string them together to make a butterfly garland!
