Continuous Line Drawing

Pick up a pen for a bit of light-hearted Continuous Line Drawing
You will need:
- any piece of paper, card or the back of an envelope
- a pen or pencil.
The idea is to draw any object you can see that pleases you. The catch is that you can’t take your pen off the paper until you have completely finished drawing!
It means that your drawing will be quick and will not be perfect but you will end up with a spontaneous and energetic study of an object. The tricky part is trying to find ways not to draw lines where you don’t want them. You can do this by retracing your pen over other lines to get back across your drawing, or by adding shading which can join areas of your picture together.
Have a go and keep trying other objects throughout the week.
Remember…these aren’t designed to be masterpieces but mini observations of the things around you.
