Fun with Frames
Do you have many frames in your home? How many can you see?

They are not always in obvious places. There are picture frames, photo frames and frames on mirrors, but there are also frames around windows and doors and in a garden. Don’t forget the frames on reading glasses too!
Placing a frame around anything helps us to separate it from the rest of the world.
Objects, landscapes and images that are framed become special and precious.
Have a go at decorating a frame and choosing what to put in it. You could:
- decorate your frame with colouring pens, pencils, paint or collage
- use your frame for a photo, a picture you really like or one of your own
- cut the middle out of the frame template (this is known as the aperture) and use it to frame something you can see. Hold it up to the window to frame a scene or place it in front of a special object! If you want, take a photo and send it to us!
TIP– If you want to make the frame stronger, glue it to some card, a cereal box will do!
We’ve attached some templates, you may like to draw some special things in the small frames.
