The Marlborough group have been working on a short movie. Back at the start of the year they spent 5 sessions making puppets – a bunch of characters with very individual personalities…the puppets that is! Then they spent 4 sessions devising a story that all these diverse characters could perform in. They made scenery, learnt about green screen visual effects, wrote a “sort of” script and then performed the whole piece to camera. There was lots of potential for theatrical tantrums and creative clashes but being a mature and sensible lot they pulled off a professional, chaotic and hilarious artistic, “one-off” blockbuster. But judge for yourself…and be prepared to be shocked!
