Hot and Cold

We are using colour to show the extremes of our good old weather – hot and cold!

 You will need:

• Two sheets of paper,
• paints or pastels or coloured pencils.

We invite you to make two versions of the same scene, a cold one and a hot one. Choose anything you like as your image – a landscape, portrait, an item in your house or something from your imagination.

Create:

One version in cold colours –    blue, purple, green

One aversion in warm colours –  red, orange, yellow

These two images are the same scene just using different colours and the different effect is stricking.

You could display your pictures according to how you feel – the cold one if you are too hot and want to cool down, and the warm one when you are feeling chillly.
